Lose Weight and save your Life. The new epidemic sweeping the western world is Obesity, and clearly in some countries it has gone way passed just being a little over weight. America, Britain, Australia, just to name a few, have citizens that are quite morbidly obese. In fact these people have put them selves in a very high risk area of developing type2 diabetes, heart and liver failure. So what do we do about it?. The first thing to do is to get your head thinking in the right direction about your health, its not a case of why am I punishing myself, I really like to eat and eat and eat… well the truth is keep it up and one day you may have to get the local Fire and Rescue Dept with special lifting equipment just so you can be taken to Hospital, so they can hopefully save your life, and that’s if your one of the lucky people, so many don’t make it. So why do we get over weight ?, well the answer is quite simple, take for example if we were to consume lets say 5000 calories a day but we only used up 4000 calories through exercise work etc, we have a net gain of 1000 calories doesn’t seem much but our bodies will convert unused calories into fat which it will distribute around your body. So if you where to keep on doing that pretty much on a regular basis, “you got it” you will slowly begin to rise a few clothes sizes, and because by and large this is a slow process before we realise it we have become Obese. So what do we do next ?, losing weight is not easy, that part we know, so if you need help you can join your local weight loss group, who will guide you and help you make the right choices about eating the right foods, and will encourage you to take on a regular exercise routine, remember you have to take responsibility for you own health. So don’t be negative and except help when you feel you need it. So in conclusion don’t super size just exercise. Remember the life you will be saving is your own, and as far as I am aware you only get one, so make sure you look after it. You owe it to your family and friends, because without you being there their lives will be full of grief and despair. So eat wise, eat less, and exercise at least 30min a day. And God forbid you might even get to like it. And stay out of fire trucks.
